Transcript Ordering allows students and alumni to order official
transcripts 24/7 securely via the Web using a credit card. All transcript
ordering steps are automated, speeding delivery of transcripts to recipients
and eliminating the cost and time involved in manually processing requests
for institutions. Transcript Ordering is FERPA compliant and supports
e-signatures.
Each transcript request is validated to ensure it meets the institution's
requirements and is transmitted to the institution electronically via EDI or
XML. The institution can also process orders in real time via the Web. The
institution then prints, seals and mails the transcript to the specified
recipients, or transmits it via EDI to SPEEDE-enabled institutions.
Requestors receive order updates by email and can check order progress and
order history on the Clearinghouse Web site. The institution can view an
audit trail of all requests at any time.
"I can't believe how quickly and easily the Clearinghouse was able
to bring our service online," said Judy Bulliner, registrar at Howard
Community College, "They not only customized our Transcript Ordering
service for our needs, but they made the implementation and launch process
very efficient and simple. I know our students and alumni are going to
appreciate the results."
"Transcript Ordering provides resource-strapped colleges and
universities with an opportunity to quickly introduce a valuable new online
service to their students and alumni," said Daniel R. Boehmer,
president of the National Student Clearinghouse, "It's clear from the
speed with which the service is growing that institutions recognize the
value of our newest outsourcing option."
